SYNOPSIS: EPA is publishing its policy regarding the use of ADR.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: The Administrative Dispute Resolution Act of 1996 (Public Law 104-320) requires that each federal agency adopt a policy that addresses the use of ADR. EPA's policy is presented under the following headings:

Also, the Department of Justice is soliciting comments on two documents designed to help federal agencies develop ADR programs: "Confidentiality in Federal Alternative Dispute Resolution Programs," and "Evaluation of Federal Alternative Dispute Resolution Programs."
