SUBJECT: National Aeronautics and Space Administration Meeting on Procurement Policies, Practices, and Initiatives

SYNOPSIS: NASA will conduct an open forum meeting on May 3, 2001, to solicit questions, views and opinions of interested persons or firms concerning NASA's procurement policies, practices, and initiatives. The purpose of the meeting is to hold an open discussion between NASA's Associate Administrator for Procurement Tom Luedtke, industry, and the public. According to NASA, "this is not a meeting about doing business with NASA for new firms, nor does it focus particularly on small businesses or specific contracting opportunities."
DATE: May 3, 2001, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. All attendees must be U.S. citizens or have a valid green card in their possession. The auditorium capacity is limited to approximately 90 persons, so attendance is limited to two representatives per firm. Questions for the open forum should be presented at the meeting and should not be submitted in advance. Position papers are not being solicited.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: The meeting will consist of a presentation by Associate Administrator for Procurement Tom Luedtke, followed by a question and answer period. Procurement issues will be discussed, including NASA's newest initiatives used in the award and administration of contracts.
