ACTION: Final Rule
SYNOPSIS: DOD is amending the DFARS to remove text pertaining to the requirement for contractors to annually submit the Form VETS-100, Federal Contractor Veterans' Employment Report, because the reporting requirements have been added to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) by Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) Item IV of FAC 2001-01.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: This final rule removes DFARS text that was added as an interim rule in 1998 to implement provisions of the Veterans' Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (Public Law 105-339). The DFARS text is no longer necessary because the reporting requirements were added to the FAR by Item IV of FAC 2001-01.
