ACTION: Final Rule

SYNOPSIS: NASA is removing NASA-specific coverage of Central Contractor Registration (CCR) which is no longer necessary because CCR requirements were recently established in the FAR by Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-16.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: FAC 2001-16 added a new FAR Subpart 4.11, Central Contractor Registration, and implementing clauses to require contractors to be registered in the CCR database by to be eligible for award of any contract, basic agreement, basic ordering agreement, or blanket purchase agreement on or after October 1, 2003.

Because of FAC 2001-16, NASA's specific coverage of CCR is no longer required. This final rule removes Subpart 1804.74, Central Contractor Registration, and its associated clause at NFS 1852.204-74.
