ACTION: Final and Interim Rules
SYNOPSIS: The Federal Acquisition Secretariat is issuing FAC 2005-24 to amend the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) in the following areas: (1) contractor personnel in a designated operational area or supporting a diplomatic or consular mission; (2) numbered notes for synopses; (3) new thresholds for trade agreements; (4) new designated countries -- Dominican Republic, Bulgaria, and Romania; (5) Cost Accounting Standards administration; and (6) common security configurations.
DATES: The effective date for these rules is March 31, 2008, except that the effective date for item (3) is February 28. 2008. Comments on item (3) should be submitted no later than April 28, 2008.
