ACTION: Final Rules

SYNOPSIS: The Federal Acquisition Secretariat is issuing FAC 2005-39 to amend the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) in the following areas: (1) to extend the use of simplified acquisition procedures for certain commercial items; (2) to clarify the submission of cost or pricing data on non-commercial modifications of commercial items; (3) use of Standard Form 26, Award/Contract; (4) enhanced competition for task- and delivery-order contracts; (5) trade agreements with Costa Rica, Oman, and Peru; (6) payments under fixed-price architect-engineer contracts; and (7) a technical amendment.

DATES: The effective date for these rules is March 19, 2010, except Items III, IV, and VI are effective April 19, 2010.
