ACTION: Final and Interim Rules
SYNOPSIS: The Federal Acquisition Secretariat is issuing FAC 2005-46 to amend the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) in the following areas: (1) equal opportunity for veterans; (2) certification requirement and procurement prohibition relating to Iran sanctions; (3) termination for default reporting; (4) award-fee language revision; (5) offering a construction requirement under the 8(a) program; (6) encouraging contractor policies to ban text messaging while driving; and (7) Buy American exemption for commercial information technology that is construction material.
DATES: The effective date for these rules is September 29, 2010, except Items III, IV, and VI are effective October 29, 2010.
