ACTION: Interim and Final Rules
SYNOPSIS: The Federal Acquisition Secretariat is issuing FAC 2005-50 to amend the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) in the following areas: (1) proper use and management of cost-reimbursement contracts; (2) requirements for acquisitions pursuant to multiple-award contracts; (3) justification and approval of sole-source 8(a) contracts; (4) additional requirements for market research; (5) socioeconomic program parity; (6) use of commercial services item authority; (7) Trade Agreements thresholds; (8) disclosure and consistency of cost accounting practices for contracts awarded to foreign concerns; (9) compensation for personal services; and (10) technical amendments.
DATES: The effective date for these rules is March 16, 2011, except Item IV is effective April 15, 2011.
