ACTION: Final Rules
SYNOPSIS: The Federal Acquisition Secretariat is issuing FAC 2005-55 to amend the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) in the following subject areas: (1) preventing abuse of interagency contracts; (2) transition to the System for Award Management (SAM); (3) brand-name specifications; (4) time-and-materials and labor-hour contracts for commercial items; (5) public access to the Federal Awardee Performance and Integrity Information System; (6) updated Financial Accounting Standards Board accounting references; and (7) technical amendments.
DATES: The effective date for these rules is February 2, 2012, except Items V and VII are effective January 3, 2012.
